An exciting custom ribbon sculpture came through the shop recently. Specified by Perkins + Will for the lobby of the Medical City Dallas hospital. Though this piece looks like a chandelier, it is actually meant to sit a top a 6'ft base structure. We hung it here to capture the full length of the construction.

The palette seen below, is a beautiful mix of greens, blues, purple and reds with an iridescent highlight. When the sculpture is illuminated the shades of these colors come alive, creating a dynamic visual.

LightArt Artisan James Coury begins to work on building the sculpture.

LightArt's Dallas, TX light specialist Susan Judkins visited the site recently and sent back images of the installation. You can see in the image below that the space features tall ceilings and high windows. The sculpture was a great solution to give the space a visual focal point.
